Parenting Support
If you are like most parents, you would probably agree that parenting is one of the most rewarding, yet challenging, jobs anyone could ever have. All parents want to see their children grow up to be happy and successful. Unfortunately, this responsibility seems to grow more challenging with each passing day in this increasingly complex and demanding world. At times, you may feel discouraged or frustrated and question how to best guide your children. During these times, it may be helpful for you to talk with a professional, either individually or in a parenting group, to explore new, effective strategies and build upon your existing strengths as a parent.
In a sense, every parent could benefit from a parenting consultation at one time or another. If your child or teen has a disability, such as ADHD, autism spectrum disorder, or other behavioral/emotional problems, then developing specific parenting skills that both address their struggles and capitalize upon their strengths is critical. At the PACT, our professionals have the right training and background to help.
Using practical, collaborative, and evidence-based approaches, at PACT your provider will collaborate with you to develop an action plan to help your child or teen succeed by incorporating a variety of strategies that address your concerns.
Throughout the consultation process, our professionals will actively seek your feedback on our work together to ensure that you achieve your goals. PACT offers either one-time parent consultations or ongoing parent management training (PMT). PMT focuses on the use of positive parenting and effective behavior management skills, improving communication with your children and teens, and strengthening your relationships.
