Marsha Lindahl

Hello! I am Marsha Lindahl and am both a Licensed Psychological Associate with Independent Practice (LPA-IP) and a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP).  Prior to doing contract assessment and therapy, I worked in the schools as a Special Education Teacher, a Diagnostician

and a Special Education Administrator. I have been contracting primarily with school districts to provide psychological services and support in the school setting for the past twenty years. Supporting students and parents with mental health concerns and advocating for disability supports and services have been at the heart of my career.

I completed my MA in Education at Arizona State University and my MS in Psychology at Angelo State University.  In addition to experience in the schools, I have also provided assessments and therapy in private settings.  I have worked with children and adults from various settings and backgrounds both individually and in groups with a variety of mental health and/or behavioral concerns. I have experience working with depression, anxiety, abuse (physical and sexual) and grief as well as with individuals with ADHD and other behavioral issues. I have experience working with individuals on the autism spectrum especially in the area of social skills.  I also have worked with adolescents in group homes.  I have had training in a number of counseling strategies including Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Conflict Resolution and Mediation, Parenting strategies, Mindfulness based interventions, and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.)
